A little about how animal rescue started for me...I came from a family that had a real love for animals and naturally had them in my life growing up.
In 1999 I got involved with the Warkworth SPCA Supporters Group and started fostering for them. I realised at this point I had found my passion and it grew from there.
With my husband's support and know-how we built a facility on our property to provide temporary homing for these strays until they were adopted to forever loving homes. The Warkworth SPCA Supporters Group played a big part in the expansion and were huge supporters for years.
We are now an independent shelter with 5 reliable & valuable volunteers.

Our Philosophy: To be here for neglected, abused and abandoned animals.

Our standard adoption fee for cats and kittens is $80. This includes de-sexing & micro-chipping. If kittens are too young for de-sexing they will be recalled at the appropriate time. The cats and kittens will also be up to date with worm and flea treatments. We will help you to choose a cat/kitten best suited to your lifestyle and you will be provided with an information sheet about how to best settle your cat/kitten into your home.

If you are renting you should get your landlord's permission, in writing, before adopting an animal.

From time to time we have other animals looking for forever homes. Rabbits, chooks, roosters and goats just to name a few. Adoption of these animals will be by negotiation.
